Lunch w/Beth, Howard and Jan in Altoona. Reunion at Noah's Ark.
Juan & Ken enjoy the music. Rosie and I were there too but our pictures didn't turn out. I need a new camera.
Ken requested Gigilo, I requested Down at the Twist and Shout, and Rosie asked for a certain Freddy Fender song. Howard did them for old times sake. We all loved it and so did the rest of the crowd.
Lunch w/Howard, Beth & Jan; Altoona
We met at Johnny's Steakhouse in Altoona today, May 16, 2022 for an upscale lunch.
Everyone had their eyes open in this one. But I wanted to post both.

Jan is Howard's sister.
Ken and Howard ordered tiramisu to top off a great lunch and visit! Of course we girls took bites.
Howard wanted his side to be asparagus. It wasn't on the menu, but he got it! When I first heard him say it I thought he was joking. Lots of men don't like cooked green veggies. He was serious. Good for him.

I played hand and foot with the girls right up until the night before we left. How I will miss those good times and good friends.
Signy hit the jackpot when she brought this bottle of wine to Lavern. I got some of the lucious drink.
Bruce, Lavern, Ken and I dined at Bella Mia's, my new favorite restaurant in the Valley. My shrimp with linguini, mushrooms and spinach, pictured, was so good. And enough for two more meals! Bruce had the veal (or egg plant?) parmesan and his plate had even more food than mine.
The house dressing is really good and Ken I think, had the bruchetta.
The good long time friends got together at Noah's Ark in Des Moines to catch up.
We went to Noah's specifically because they are in the middle of a lawsuit and the restaurant may close next spring. It looks like some of the family want to keep it open and others in the family want to sell it to a developer. I vote to keep it open. Not that I have any say in anything, but they have been here around 50 years.
